El Creston Mutual Domestic Water Consumers Association

Why Join El Creston?

The number of members a mutual domestic has is one important criteria the various grant agencies and support organizations use in determining our credibility as a community organization. We need to demonstrate that as a community, we stand together in working for a community water system. In order to move forward from where we are, we need to have 75-100 members on our roster. That is why we are asking you to download and complete an application for membership and Quit Claim as soon as possible.

The first and foremost reason to join is access to a reliable source of clean potable water, a source that will not be subject to the pumping at the Taylor Well field. Secondly, the Sheridan Fire Station will have a reliable source of water for fire safety. Third, it will maintain or restore the value of your home. Fourth, You will stand with our community in providing a unified voice to the City, County and State Government regarding our water. Finally, you will have access to resources on water conservation, water catchment, tax incentives, well monitoring and like services.

Current rate to join is $250. There is also an annual assessment (currently $75) to cover administrative costs.

Other costs will include the cost of the water meter ($1500) and the cost to bring the line from the meter at the road to your house.
